Overview Nora Plaza
Shops is the third phase of a multi-phase redevelopment to improve the retail
experience at Nora Plaza, a regional shopping center that was purchased by PK
Partners in 2004 and then partially sold in mid-2007. This parcel was
separated from the remainder of Nora Plaza at that time and construction of the
Nora Plaza Shops building was completed late in 2007. Nora Plaza Shops has the
advantage of being the closest part of the shopping center to 86th Street and
benefits greatly from that excellent visibility. Additionally, the new building
provides an upgraded street presence for the entire shopping center from the
fast food restaurant that previously occupied this site.
The design of
the 11,200 square foot Nora Plaza Shops building is similar to the design of the
remainder of Nora Plaza which was renovated by PK Partners in 2006. This design
continuity visually ties the two parcels together to create a larger, more
unified shopping experience. Another highlight of the Nora Plaza Shops project
is the integration of an access point to the Monon Trail, an urban greenway that
links commercial districts, schools, parks, the state fairgrounds and a dozen
residential neighborhoods. The Monon Trail is believed to be one of the busiest
greenways in the nation.
Nora Plaza Shopping Center is located on 86th
Street at Evergreen Road and is approximately two miles west of the Keystone at
the Crossing shopping area. The shopping center is anchored by Target, as well
as Whole Foods Market, Marshall's, PNC Bank, Goodman Shoes, Hallmark Gold Crown
Store, Cord Camera and Starbucks. Nora Plaza is located in a very densely
populated area with traffic counts on 86th Street of over 40,000 cars per day.
Nora Plaza is an excellent location with mature established shopping patterns
and a nice variety of national, regional, and local tenants flavoring the
center.
